The federal government has decided to revise category-wise natural gas sale prices in response to recommendations from the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) which will be effective from July 01, 2025.
The OGRA Spokesperson Imran Ghaznavi said the revised prices of the gas charges will apply to bulk consumers, general industry (process), and the power sector.

The move follows the OGRA’s determinations of the SNGPL & SSGCL of Estimated Revenue Requirement for the fiscal year 2025-26.

In addition, monthly fixed charges for domestic consumers whether protected or non-protected have also been increased, Ghaznavi added.

However, gas sale prices for other categories such as domestic consumers (slab-wise domestic rate), special commercial (Roti Tandoors), commercial, general industry (captive), CNG, cement, fertilizer have been kept unchanged, the spokesperson confirmed.
