The Bangladesh cricket team has arrived in Pakistan for their highly anticipated three-match T20I series, with players landing in two separate contingents ahead of the first match scheduled for tomorrow.

According to the latest reports, the initial group of ten members, including players and support staff, reached Lahore a couple of days ago. This was followed by a second phase arrival that included key players Tanzid Hasan, Shamim Hossain, Jaker Ali, and Mehidy Hasan Miraz, who landed in Lahore yesterday.

The Pakistan Cricket Board has implemented extraordinary security measures for the visiting team, with the Government of Pakistan deploying both the Pakistan Army and Civil Armed Forces to ensure the visitors’ safety throughout their stay. The Ministry of Interior has issued special orders based on a federal cabinet decision, allowing the army to oversee security under Article 245 of the Constitution, while Civil Armed Forces will operate under the Anti-Terrorism Act of 1997.

All three matches of the series will be played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, with the opening encounter set for May 28, followed by matches on May 30 and June 1. Each game will take place in the evening, providing fans with prime-time cricket action.

This tour marks an important step in cricket diplomacy between the two nations. PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi personally secured final approval for the series during a recent meeting with Bangladesh Cricket Board officials in Dubai, highlighting the significance both boards place on this bilateral engagement.

The Bangladesh team willbe looking to acclimate quickly to local conditions with just one day remaining before the series opener. Cricket enthusiasts from both nations eagerly await what promises to be an exciting contest between the neighboring cricket powers as players make final preparations for tomorrow’s first T20I at the historic Gaddafi Stadium.
