DUBAI: The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced changes to the schedule and venues for the Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025.
The final of the tournament will now be played in either Colombo, Sri Lanka, or Navi Mumbai, India, on November 2.
Previously, the final was scheduled to take place either in Bangalore, India or Colombo. The decision to revise the venue comes as part of ongoing adjustments in the hybrid hosting model for the tournament, which is being conducted across multiple countries.
The Pakistan women’s cricket team will play all of its group-stage matches in Sri Lanka. Their campaign begins against Bangladesh on October 2.
Other notable matches include the women’s team against India on October 5 in Colombo, followed by matches against Australia on October 8 and England on October 15.
Pakistan’s schedule also features matches against New Zealand on October 18, South Africa on October 21, and Sri Lanka on October 24.
The team’s games are concentrated in Sri Lanka to ease logistics and travel.
The semi-final matches will be held in either Guwahati, India or Colombo, Sri Lanka. If Pakistan progresses to the knockout stages, their semi-final will be played in Colombo.
The Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 is being staged under a hybrid hosting arrangement, with matches spread across India and Sri Lanka.
